Speaking on the Gouv’Talk program on July 16, 2026, the Minister Delegate in charge of Technical Education, Jean-Louis Moulot, unveiled the national strategy for technical education through 2030.
This initiative is a key component of Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026–2030 National Development Plan (NDP). The government aims to increase the share of students enrolled in technical education from the current 6% to 10% by 2030, with a further target of 15% by 2035.
To achieve this objective, the government plans to build 100 new technical education institutions and renovate 55 existing facilities across the country.
The minister also announced the launch of “Youth Employment” service centers in all technical high schools starting in September 2026. The goal is to strengthen the alignment between vocational training and the needs of employers and industries.
Finally, to raise awareness and promote future-oriented career pathways—such as construction (BTP), agro-industry, and renewable energy—the National Technical Education Fair will embark on a regional tour. The first stops are scheduled for Korhogo (Poro Region) on July 26 and Man (Tonkpi Region) in August.
