On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Minister Jean-Louis Moulot officially announced the delegation of the management of the Public Works and Mining Vocational Training Center (CFA TP-Mines) in Gagnoa to the private consortium CESTPM-CI. This public-private partnership aims to align vocational training more closely with labor market needs and improve youth employment opportunities.
The training center, established through a collaboration between the Ivorian Federation of Building and Public Works (GIBTP) and the Professional Mining Group of Côte d’Ivoire (GPMCI), is the country’s first institution fully dedicated to meeting the workforce needs of the public works and mining sectors. By entrusting its management to the private sector, the Ivorian government seeks to ensure that training remains closely aligned with industry requirements and produces graduates who are immediately job-ready.
The ceremony also marked the official accession of the GIBTP, represented by its President Lamine Koné, to the Industry–Technical and Vocational Education Pact (PIETP) for the 2026–2029 period. Through this commitment, member companies will focus on developing skills in five priority occupations: civil engineering, heavy equipment operation, formwork and steel reinforcement, electrical installation, and plumbing.
