The Ivorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Belgium Europe (CICIBE) celebrated its first anniversary on July 30, 2026, in Cocody with a garden party and a business networking session.

The event brought together key players from the economic ecosystem to review the Chamber’s first year of achievements and explore new opportunities to position Ivorian businesses on the international stage.

Held under the theme of boldness and excellence, the celebration highlighted CICIBE’s core mission: breaking down economic barriers and promoting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, the European Union Delegation, GUDE-PME, CI-Export, and the General Directorate of Ivorians Abroad emphasized several key priorities, including financial support for businesses, greater engagement with the Ivorian diaspora, and, above all, compliance with international standards.

Two thematic panel discussions shaped the event, stressing the importance of standardization, credibility, and cultural identity as essential drivers for successfully entering European markets. Alongside exhibitions showcasing outstanding Ivorian products and business opportunities, the anniversary confirmed CICIBE’s growing role as a strategic bridge connecting Abidjan and Brussels.

More than a symbolic milestone, the celebration reflected CICIBE’s ambition to strengthen economic cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Europe while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and exporters on both continents.
