The city of Man has been hosting, since Sunday, August 9, 2026, the first decentralized edition of the National Technical Education Fair (SNET). The event is being held at the city’s Technical and Vocational High School. It marks a turning point in the government’s strategy: adapting vocational training to the resources and economic needs specific to each region.

Held under the chairmanship of Minister-General Vagondo Diomandé and led by Minister Delegate Jean-Louis Moulot, this edition aims to promote training programs that have long been underestimated. In Tonkpi, a region experiencing rapid growth in mining, agriculture, and tourism, the fair directly connects young people, training centers, and local businesses.

The stakes are national: the government aims to increase the share of students entering technical education to 15% by 2035 in order to support the country’s industrialization. By taking the SNET outside the capital, the State is reaffirming that youth skills development and sustainable employment must now be addressed at the heart of every region of Côte d’Ivoire.
