Young Ivorian entrepreneurs who studied in France were highlighted, as they believe it is essential to return to Côte d’Ivoire to contribute to the country’s economic development. They were at the center of activities organized by Campus France on April 10 in Abidjan-Plateau, according to Josemar St Victor, head of the organization.

The afterwork event, which brought together students and former graduates who chose France for their studies, served as a space for exchange. According to Campus France representative Josemar St Victor, it is important to create a framework for dialogue that encourages the sharing of experiences between different generations of students.

He welcomed the strong enthusiasm of Ivorian former students eager to share their journeys and inspire their peers during the first edition of 2026. This dynamic helps strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and France, within a “win-win” partnership approach.

Josemar St Victor assured that the organization intends to continue these initiatives in order to further promote the talents of the Ivorian academic diaspora and encourage the return of skills in service of national development.

As a service of the French Embassy dedicated to student mobility, Campus France’s mission is to support and promote international academic pathways, notably through the France Alumni platform in Côte d’Ivoire. The goal is to build a dynamic community of former students and strengthen the link between academic training and professional integration.

Also present at the event was the Ivorian Network of Diaspora Graduates (RIDD). According to Odilon Kouamé, a member and advertising communications entrepreneur, the meeting was particularly enriching. He said he learned a great deal from the shared experiences and various career paths presented.

“I leave feeling motivated and determined to stay focused on my projects. Thanks to this networking, we benefit from the support of our seniors,” he said. He also expressed gratitude to Campus France for organizing the event.
